There will be a one day conference on these issues at our Lady of the Rosary Church, Buckley on April 27th from 10.00 AM to 4.30 PM.
In her speech to the House of Lords, Dame Teresa Jowell said “What gives a life meaning is not how it is lived but how it draws to a close”. The conference will focus on end of life planning and decisions from spiritual, legal and medical/nursing perspectives. Speakers will include Bishop Paul Mason, auxiliary bishop of Southwark, Dr Pia Matthews, Lecturer in Healthcare Ethics at the St Mark’s University, Twickenham and Mr Stephen Davies, solicitor
The day is open to all who are interested. It will be of particular interest to priests, hospital chaplains and anyone who works in this field in any capacity.
Cost is £50 which includes lunch. Booking is essential
