Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life and is the pathway to the other sacraments. Through baptism, we become members of Christ and of the church and are freed from sin.

Whilst infant Baptism is a tradition within the church, older children and adult baptisms are becoming more and more common place echoing the practices of the Early Church. Baptism seals the Christian with an indelible mark of his belonging to Christ and the Church.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded to you”

(Matthew 28:19-20).
