This is the time of the year when there’s so much coming and going, with people away for a few weeks on holiday and visitors from outside who are staying here with family and friends. Make sure you keep an eye out, especially for the elderly and those who live alone. If you normally see someone in the Post Office collecting their pension or buying food in the supermarket, then don’t just presume they must be away. make some discreet enquiries to see if they’re all right. They may thank you for it.
