From Fr Charles: If you recall, I appointed a representative parish team over 15 months ago to do two things:
1 Plan a parish renewal process.
2 Establish a parish council.
There was unanimous agreement that a parish team working with consensual decision- making might work better than a parish council. This seems to have been the case so far. Next step we feel is to provide for gradual change of the team’s members. We propose that three PT members resign after two or three years to be democratically replaced by new members and thus spread the leadership.
